The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children have their first dentist visit no later than their first birthday.
At the Center for Pediatric Dentistry we make the first visit, and every visit following, a fun, easy experience for you and your child. From the moment you walk through our doors, you will find that we have created a place for kids, teens and parents.
Your child’s first visit will include a complete examination of his/her mouth by Dr. Baker or Dr. Hughes. Your child will also have digital X-rays taken of their teeth and receive a dental cleaning and fluoride treatment. After the appointment, Dr. Baker or Dr. Hughes will consult with you to discuss proper home care, as well as answer any questions you may have.
Whether your child’s needs are as simple as a comprehensive exam and cleaning, as extensive as multiple restorations, or somewhere in between, our goal is to provide you with exceptional care as we navigate your child through their growing years and on to healthy adult teeth.
Some of the services we offer are:
In the event that your child needs to undergo treatment, we have many options available to ensure they are treated safely and comfortably. Dr. Baker and Dr. Hughes works closely with local specialists such as orthodontists and oral surgeons when your child needs specialized care not available in our practice.
As with adults, children should visit the dentist every six months, unless otherwise instructed. By taking an active role in your child’s dental health, Dr. Baker, Dr. Hughes and the staff can protect your child from dental disease and put them on the right track for a healthy lifestyle.
